- The CORE Project has many open-access resources for learning economics from an open-minded perspective.
- Coursera and edX have free online courses offered by leading universities worldwide.

General:
- Connected Papers – a search tool for academic papers that visualises the search results.
- scite – a tool for visualising and analysing the citations of and by academic papers.
- Trove – for finding hard copies of books in Australian libraries
Economics:
- EconLit – a major database for economics papers.
- The New Palgrave Dictionary of Economics – a major dictionary for the terms used in economics with entries written by leading economists.
- The Journal of Economic Literature and the Annual Review of Economics are two main journals in economics that publish surveys of the field. The Journal of Economic Surveys has more pluralist perspectives.
